Show bike by Zambikes Revealed in Santa Cruz
December, 2009
The City of Santa Cruz is hosting stage 3 of the Tour of California this year and are funding it based on community sponsorship at no cost to the City. The city has put together a series of bicycle movie nights at The Rio Theatre in downtown Santa Cruz as fundraisers for the Tour. The first one was December 17th. The film is "Where are you go" by local filmmaker Brian Vernor. He documents his trip across Africa with the Tour de Afrique.
Just before the showing, Craig presented the history of Bamboosero. One exciting aspect of this night was the first unveiling of a Bamboosero show bicycle.

North American Handmade Bicycle Show
December, 2009
The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is an event where frame builders show off their best work. It is a very important event for the success of their business. All Bamboosero groups have been invited to participate! Craig has rented a booth at the show just for Bambooseros. We want each group to build a frame for the entire world to see.
The show bikes will be an example of the fine craftsmanship that goes into bikes already standing out because of the bamboo, and will no doubt appear in magazines and on the internet! To make things more exciting, we will have a contest and people at the show will vote on which Bamboosero frame is best overall. The winner of that contest will be featured on the Bamboosero website.
Check back for photos of entered frames and results of the contest
These photos are of a frame Craig built which won a prize for the best road bicycle at the show in 2006!
