Thanks for signing up to the Bamboosero mailing list.

The survey was a great success. Thanks to all of you who filled it out. The result is that we need to offer a variety of types of bikes. No one type dominated. And we'll be able to meet most people's budgets. We're setting up to offer road bikes and city bikes with singlespeed/fixie option as well as mountain bikes and cargo bikes. We'll start with 26" wheels for the mountain bikes and add 29" sizes a little later. Disc and V brakes will be offered. Eccentric bottom brackets as well. Geometry will be the same as that found on the Calfee Design website. Bike specifications will be available soon.

I'm off to Ghana next week and will be inspecting our first shipment before it leaves the country. I'm also sending two frames to EFBe, the German bike test company. Once those are tested, we'll gear up for increased production. After stopping in Ghana, I'll be off to Zambia to train ZamBikes on building frames. They have a nice facility and will be able to ramp up fairly quickly. Later in July, I'll be in the Philippines, training 4 different groups there.

We will start with shipping bikes from our California warehouse and then from different inspection/assembly locations as we set them up. We are looking for a partner in Europe to assist with inspection and bike assembly. After that is set up, shipping bikes to European destinations will be a lot less expensive. South Africa will need a location as well.

We'll be updating the website as the bikes become available. People on this list will be the first to know!
